wineLAIR is the home of a vibrant, members-only community of wine lovers. Located in DC’s West End neighborhood, our amenities include temperature- and humidity-controlled wine lockers, a private event space, a full bar, luxe lounge, and seasonal plates from our kitchen. We also offer unique experiences, ranging from educational wine and spirits tastings to chef pop-up dinners and winemaker events. wineLAIR is the ideal venue to network with each other, meet sommeliers, chefs, and winemakers, and explore the world of wine & spirits.
wineLAIR DC is the US partner to the European wineBANK clubs.
The first wineBANK was founded in the German Rheingau wine region near Frankfurt in 2009. It has been the meeting place for wine lovers in central Europe ever since. Founded by 5th-generation Balthazar Ress wine estate owner Christian Ress, wineBANK is a network of wine storage and community-building clubs. Over the years, the unique private members’ club concept has grown into a successful, international network with multiple locations in Germany and Austria. The biggest advantage: Every member has access to all locations – in Europe even 24/7, 365 days a year – with their personal member’s card. They can enjoy wine with business partners and friends wherever they wish to!
In 2020, the concept was introduced to the US using a similar license model. The brand is called wineLAIR in the States. The first wineLAIR club welcomes its members and guests in Washington D.C.’s West End.
