Around the World: Champagne
Napoleon’s “Always carry Champagne, in defeat you need it, in victory, you deserve it” agelessly lands in the 21st century with the same humorous gravity it did in the 18th. Come on in for an exploration of five styles of these versatile wines that are as comfortably paired with fried chicken as they are with oysters or caviar. This event will be hosted by Matthew and we anticipate a sellout.

Best of the Pacific Northwest Tasting
Join vintners and representatives of Winebow in exploring wines from the Pacific Northwest and indulge in the finest selections from Oregon and Washington.
While California represents the majority of U.S. wine production, Washington is the second-largest wine producing state. It holds more than 300 growers and has doubled its acreage and production over the past 20 years. Oregon is the fourth most-producing state and holds a large number of highly rated wines.
The Dundee Hills region is known as the epicenter of Pinot Noir in the state. The territory is characterized by volcanic soils and a cool climate for production. Close by, the unique environment has also made Salem, Oregon, a hotspot for white wine.
In Washington, the town of Walla Walla may be best known for Syrah, but also provides excellent weather conditions to produce Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Woodinville, Washington, offers more than 130 wineries with unique personalities for each.
Take a tasting trip to the best that the region has to offer courtesy of Winebow and wineLAIR Member Kristi Delovitch!
Wines we will be featuring:
Argyle: Dundee Hills, Oregon
Cristom Vineyards: Salem, Oregon
Archery Summit: Dayton, Oregon
Abeja: Walla Walla, Washington
Figgins: Walla Walla, Washington
Bledsoe Family: Walla Walla, Washington
Matthews: Woodinville, Washington

Around the World: Syrah

Whether vinified alone or used to add gumption to a blend, this grape has so much to offer with its many unique flavors and easy-going structure. This event will explore the many faces of Syrah, each one a perfect autumnal pairing!
Long hailed from Northern Rhône for its smoky, peppery notes, this grape found a welcome home in the New World, creating new identities (Shiraz, anyone?) everywhere it goes. From fruity and herbal to earthy and food-friendly, there's a Syrah for everyone! Join Marley as we explore why it's one of the world's fan favorites!
Seats are limited.

Flight Night: Rioja
Join Marley for a deep dive into the wonderful region of Rioja! Spain’s most famous wine country, and one of the most prestigious, Rioja is where the Tempranillo grape finds its greatest expression. Big and bold, meaty and spicy, these wines are often aged for a very long time before release and see a good amount of oak treatment to achieve their classic style. If you’re a fan of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon or Australian Shiraz, you’ll find great value and drinkability in the wines of Rioja!
At this event, we will explore the history and terroir of the region while tasting some of the region’s top wines from the best producers. Seats limited.
